She just missed the snow

Drove the wife unit to the airport this morning; she's back off into the wild blue yonder for work yet again. And talk about timing .. tomorrow is our anniversary. *growl* Geeze those damn job-havin' people. Heh. ; )
At any rate, yeah. She's off in points south.
Headed out to my appt with my perio this afternoon and threw on my jacket '..just in case'. Lucky.
Walked outside and it was snowing.
That's right. Snowing.
I'm not talking about some wimpy melt-as-soon-as-it-hits-the-ground stuff, either. I'm talking snow. When I got back from my appt, the wife unit called to say she had arrived safely (that's the rule) and that it was 70 degrees.
*squint*
I love her anyway.
She just called and woke me up to say goodnight, and happy anniversary early. I'm glad she did.
I'm sorry she missed the first snow. (Because traditionally, you're supposed to stand at the window and cuddle and smooch and watch the first snow together. I know the rules.)
...That's probably some 'misery loves company' thing, but it sure sounds romantic, dunnit?
