We are officially screwed.

Hmm.
Well, in the last couple of days I've been doing a lot of listening. And what I've heard, more often than not, are people talking about a) how little they are aware of the incoming political assfucking we're about to get; and b) how little they bothered to learn about the situation before the election.
I am shocked and appalled by how little a lot of people have bothered to educate themselves about what Shrub's walking away with a second term will mean to the country, it's constitution, it's economy, and it's residents.
We now, again, are stuck with a village idiot in the white house that believes it's his 'god given right' to change the constitution; who believes the majority of america 'embraces his conservative agenda' .. which means .. ladies, I hope you've enjoyed having the right to decide what to do with your bodies; because that's about to change. The incoming president will be the one to appoint key judicial members who will affect the constitution and all sorts of nifty things like abortion rights, etc. for about the next 20 years.
We now have a president who believes it is perfectly acceptable to write bigotry into the constitution; who believes that it's a good idea to just monkey around with whatever his conservative republican donors think should be changed. Amendment two, for those who haven't bothered to find out, now makes it possible for any place that offers domestic partner benefits to be challenged.
We now have a village idiot in the white house who led the country from surplus to the biggest deficit in the history of the country; and for nothing but an attempt to up his sagging approval ratings. We have a village idiot who is pledging to keep on sending our family members to die because he can't admit he fucked up in the first place; while he has never seen even a minute of combat himself.
We are about to be time-sucked right back into the 1950's.
So all those cool things you thought were your constitutional rights, well .. we now have a village idiot that thinks he's got the right to change whatever's in there that someone tells him wasn't a good idea.
And most of those will fall under 'freedom' ideals.
He's also pledged to 'change Social Security'. Yeah. Change it. Ergo: let it bleed out it's ears like the rest of the budget he's decimated already.
This was an incredibly important election. It's too damn bad that way too many people didn't bother to find out WHY it was important when there was still time to change things; and not let the entirety of their political education in the last two years come from propaganda soundbites from the republican party.
